Christine Schoppmann was born in Vienna and grew up in Klosterneuburg, a smaller town nearby, where she started with Cello Lessons with her teacher Vladimir Malinowsky at the age of 7. She gratuated from school at the Musikgymnasium in Vienna and started her pedagogic studies at the University for music and performing arts. After a year, she also started the bachelorstudies Violoncello at the Conservatory in Vienna ( „ Music and Arts Privat University“) in the class of Prof. Lilia Schulz Bayrova. After a switch of classes, she graduated in autumn 2014 as a Bachelor of Arts in the class of Prof. Christoph Stradner, principal cellist of the Vienna Symphonic Orchestra. She is now in her Master studies and will graduate in June 2016 as Master of Arts.

She has been influenced in masterclasses with designated soloists and orchestral musicians such as Reinhard Latzko, Wolfgang Boettcher, Wolfgang Aichinger etc. Next to regular activities in various orchestras ( soloist and tutti) Christine is member in several chamber music groups and has participated in many concerts in Austria, but also international.
